SHAWANO, WI- Authorities have identified the man found dead Wednesday morning near the Mountain Bay Trail as Timothy Pehlke.
Police responded shortly before 7 a.m. to a report of an unresponsive male along the east side of the trail. Pehlke’s identity was first shared by a family member on social media and later confirmed Friday by Shawano Police Chief Mike Musolff.
Preliminary autopsy results revealed no signs of trauma. Toxicology testing is still underway, Musolff said.
Police emphasized earlier in the week that the investigation does not indicate any threat to the public.
