Shawano police responded to a series of incidents on Sunday, Officers were called to a domestic disturbance just after 3 a.m. on West Green Bay Street. A caller reported a man and woman fighting outside a residence, with the woman seen limping. Multiple officers responded, and the situation was resolved.
Later in the day, police handled several welfare checks. One was reported outside a business on East Green Bay Street, where a woman pushing a stroller appeared to be under the influence. Another was called in at the Brickstone Inn after a man was found sleeping in his car after hours.
Police also dealt with a disturbance report on West Picnic Street, a suspicious person seen yelling near the Shawano Library, and multiple animal complaints—including stray dogs on Maurer Street and a sick kitten near ThedaCare Medical Center.
In addition, officers responded to a utility problem on Sawyer Street, where live wires were tangled in a tree branch and touching a truck. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
The day wrapped up with reports of reckless driving on East Green Bay Street and concerns of possible drug activity near the Shawano Ski Sharks area.
Clintonville police had a steady Sunday, Officers conducted several business checks and extra patrols throughout the early morning hours. One ambulance call was also logged.
Police handled a traffic stop, a report of a disorderly person, and a suspicious situation. A 911 misdial was quickly cleared.
Later in the day, officers responded to a theft complaint and also recorded a lost and found item.
The Shawano County Sheriff’s Office logged 27 calls for service on Sunday, Deputies responded to multiple reports of reckless driving, including a Jeep swerving on Highway 47 near Bonduel, dirt bikes and four-wheelers nearly colliding with cars in the town of Clintonville, and another reckless driver reported on East Green Bay Street near the airport.
A suspicious activity call came in from Wolf River Road, where people were seen moving items out of a vacant home. Deputies also assisted Shawano police during a domestic disturbance on West Green Bay Street.
Other calls included a welfare check in Krakow for a missing teen, an alarm at Dollar General in Cecil, and a hit-and-run accident after an Amazon driver reportedly struck a mailbox and left the scene.
Deputies handled two vehicle lockouts, a disabled vehicle in Cecil, and several 911 misdials.
Later in the evening, deputies investigated criminal damage to an ATV in Wittenberg, executed a warrant arrest in Shawano, and took a man into custody for resisting and obstructing officers at the Highway 22 Shell station.
Other notable calls included an animal neglect case involving an underfed bull, a custodial interference report in Shawano, a noise complaint in Krakow, and a report of someone shining a green laser at an aircraft west of the airport.
