BROWN COUNTY, WI – It’s fair week in Brown County, where heritage meets high-flying rides and every corner of the grounds has a story to tell. Fair Administrator Sheila Steinfeldt says that beyond the rides, food, and entertainment, the fair carries an important message. “We really pride ourselves in really bringing the country to the city and the city to the country,” she said.
The fair runs through Sunday, offering a mix of rides, animal exhibits, and activities for all ages, with the goal of bringing the community together. But among all the attractions, Steinfeldt says there’s one area that doesn’t always get the recognition it deserves, the Exhibit Building.
Inside, visitors will find LEGO creations, school art projects, and freshly grown crops, all displayed by local youth. These exhibits are judged during the fair, showcasing the talent, creativity, and year-round hard work of young people from across the county. Steinfeldt says it’s one more way the fair connects generations, celebrates community pride, and honors the agricultural roots of Brown County.
