SUAMICO, WI – A 16-year-old Suamico boy is facing serious charges after authorities say he attacked his mother with pruning shears during a domestic dispute on July 16.
According to the Brown County criminal complaint, Ramone Waupoose became upset when his mother deleted rap videos from his phone. Investigators say she had removed sharp objects from the home for safety, but Waupoose allegedly located the shears in the garage.
The complaint states he confronted his mother near the home’s power box, called her names, and attacked, leaving her with injuries to her head, face, arms, and back. She was able to escape by using a garbage can to defend herself.
Police say they recovered the two-foot pruning shears along with Waupoose’s phone, which allegedly contained messages detailing plans to kill his mother and threats toward an ex-girlfriend. Waupoose is charged with attempted first-degree intentional homicide and first-degree reckless injury.
