NEOPIT, WI – A federal jury has found 32-year-old Neegee J. Cloud guilty of burglary and assault with intent to murder for a violent attack on his girlfriend in Neopit on the Menominee Indian Reservation.
Prosecutors say the attack happened on September 20, 2024, when Cloud broke into the victim’s home, beat her unconscious, and repeatedly returned to the bedroom to punch, kick, and stomp on her head. Portions of the assault were captured on home security video, leading to Cloud’s arrest outside the residence.
The victim sustained multiple fractures and severe throat injuries, requiring nearly a month of hospitalization, including two weeks in intensive care.
Cloud faces up to 30 years in prison when he is sentenced on November 10, 2025.
