Shawano Police Department responded to a variety of incidents across the city, starting just before 1 a.m. with a report of an automobile theft on East Richmond Street. Officers remained on scene for over an hour investigating.
Later in the morning, an animal complaint came in from North Lafayette Street, where a woman reported being chased by a small white dog while pushing her child in a stroller. No injuries were reported, but the child was left frightened.
Police were also called to Weed Street regarding unregistered chickens, and to East Green Bay Street for a parking issue. Around noon, a concerned citizen reported an abandoned girls’ bicycle with a flat tire, which turned out to belong to a neighbor.
In the early afternoon, a vehicle reportedly was backed into at Papa Murphy’s. No injuries occurred. Just minutes later, officers responded to a disturbance at Pearl Avenue, with multiple units dispatched to the scene.
More animal-related calls came in throughout the day, including a dog left in a hot car and a dog bite on Waukechon Street that required medical attention.
One of the more serious calls came around 7 p.m., when officers engaged in a brief pursuit after a subject fled a traffic stop at Walgreens, was last seen heading southbound from the store.
The day ended with multiple welfare checks, probation violations, and a domestic disturbance reported on County Road B.
Clintonville officers had a steady day, responding to nearly 20 incidents across the city.
Police handled six traffic stops throughout the day, including on Memorial Circle, North Main Street, and Coleus Court. One stop near East 14th Street led to a separate citizen dispute investigation.
Just before 8:00 a.m., officers were called to Waupaca Street for a property damage report, and later responded to a welfare check on West 13th Street.
Emergency services were also dispatched to East 14th Street for a medical call, and the department addressed a threatening complaint on East Morning Glory Drive in the early evening.
Other calls included two 911 hang-ups, an animal issue on 8th Street, and a lost property report near 9th and South Clinton Avenue. The night ended with a noise complaint on East 1st Street just before 11 p.m.
Police also provided extra patrols and handled parking enforcement and paper service during the day.
The Shawano County Sheriff’s Department responded to a wide variety of incidents across the area. Authorities handled multiple reckless driving complaints, including a semi reported swerving dangerously on Highway 29, and a blue SUV spotted speeding near Eland.
Deputies also responded to three trespassing calls, including an early morning incident on Pathfinder Circle in Shawano and a nighttime call on Micks Road in Bowler. Another report came from Shawano Shores Circle, where a group of six was seen near a woodline.
Animal-related complaints kept law enforcement busy—stray cows were seen running loose near County Roads D and Q, and another caller reported a sick or neglected animal on County Road BE near Bonduel, raising concerns about livestock conditions.
The department also conducted two welfare checks, including a medical alert alarm triggered by a subscriber in Clintonville. And in Wittenberg, an eviction issue turned into a noise complaint when barking dogs were reported in an apartment building.
On the transport side, jail personnel moved inmates for work release and to a medical facility.
Other responses included 911 misdials, courthouse security, parking problems, and a disabled vehicle in Cecil late last night.
In Stockbridge-Munsee jurisdiction, a red Ford F-150 was found abandoned and classified as disabled, and a temperature-sensitive security alarm was triggered in Gresham.
