Daniel “Dan” A. Breutzmann, age 70 of the Town of Belle Plaine, Shawano County passed away Monday August 4, 2025 at the Greentree Health and Rehabilitation Center in Clintonville.
Daniel Allen Breutzmann was born on October 8, 1954 in Shawano as the son of the late Arthur and Delores (Bartz) Breutzmann. As a boy, Dan was active in 4-H and FFA and would later graduate from Shawano High School in 1973. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Peter’s Pella Opening Church where he was a lifelong member. Over the years Dan served his church as an usher, bell ringer, member of the dartball team, and for the past 20 years plus has served as Congregation President. On May 30, 1981 Dan was united in marriage to Sue Krueger. The couple had a son Daniel Breutzmann II and later divorced. Dan resided on his childhood farmstead and farmed for a number of years prior to selling his cows in the early 2000s. He then worked for a few local farmers and from 2007-2021 worked at the Shawano County Sheriff’s Department in the Corrections Division. Dan also continued cash cropping the home farm until more recently. In his spare time he enjoyed deer hunting and attending tractor shows with his good friend Harold Wolf; his favorite of course being green tractors. Dan wanted to give a special thank you to his friends David and Gerald Krueger for always being there to help him when needed and treating him as a brother. He also wanted to thank Pastor Jerabek for his visits and prayer, Dr. Zukowski & Dr. Brockdorf with ThedaCare Oncology, the nurses and staff at ThedaCare Infusion, ThedaCare at Home Hospice and the staff at Greentree for all of their care and support. Also a very very special thank you to Eldon and Allen Heling (his dear friends ever since their one room school house days) for their kind and caring visits.

Also his Brother: David Breutzmann.
Dan was preceded in death by his parents Arthur and Delores Breutzmann.
Funeral Services will be held Friday August 15, 2025 at 11am at the St. Peter’s Pella Opening Church in the Town of Pella, Shawano County with Rev. Todd Jerabek officiating. Interment will follow the service at the church cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church on Friday August 15, 2025 from 9am until the time of the service.
