Shawano Police responded to a range of incidents across the city, with several cases involving animals, disturbances, and public safety concerns.
Early in the day, residents on South Union Street reported stray dogs howling on their porches. Officers were unable to locate the animals. Later, a report of a dog left in a hot vehicle outside Aldi’s had responders concerned. By the time police arrived, the vehicle had already left the scene.
Officers also investigated reports of harassment. A woman on South Sawyer Street said a man had been buzzing her apartment at 2 a.m., making unwanted sexual comments. That same neighborhood saw a separate trespassing complaint, with a homeowner asking for extra patrols after repeated late-night incidents.
Drug-related activity was reported elsewhere in the county, prompting a coordinated response from multiple officers and the sheriff’s department. Meanwhile, officers were called to a suspicious scene at a city park where people were reportedly living in an abandoned trailer near maintenance buildings.
Police also responded to a domestic disturbance on East Richmond Street and a report of reckless driving near South Main Street, where a witness claimed an older woman was driving erratically and saying she couldn’t see.
Wrapping up the evening, a stolen vehicle was reported just after midnight on East Richmond Street. That case is still under investigation.
Clintonville Police were active throughout Monday, responding to a mix of routine and high-priority calls.
It started just after midnight with a traffic stop on South Main Street near County Highway I. Later, around 2 a.m., officers provided mutual aid on Highway 22 at County Highway DD.
By mid-morning, a citizen assist was handled on McKinley Avenue, and multiple traffic stops followed throughout the day, including on North 12th Street and South Main.
One notable incident occurred just before 6 p.m., when police responded to a warrant issue on North Clinton Avenue. Details about the arrest have not yet been released.
Authorities say no major injuries were reported, and all calls were resolved without escalation.
The Shawano County Sheriff’s Office responded to a steady flow of incidents Monday, with several cases raising concern for public safety.
Early in the morning, deputies were called to a trespassing complaint in Mattoon, where a man was reported on private property around 3:30 a.m. That call was quickly followed by a utility issue on Homewood Avenue and a welfare check in Birnamwood.
Traffic-related incidents were frequent throughout the day. Officers responded to multiple cases of reckless driving—including one on Porter Road in Shawano involving a motorcyclist in a black helmet, and another on Highway 29 in Tigerton, where a compact black car was reported speeding eastbound.
Deer-related crashes were also a concern, with two separate vehicle-versus-deer accidents reported—one on Highway 29 in Shawano and another on Town Hall Road involving a disabled silver Kia. No injuries were reported in either case.
Deputies also responded to several 911 hang-ups, assisted with a civil property retrieval in Shawano, and helped secure a recovered backpack containing a firearm and wallet near Highway 22.
The Stockbridge-Munsee Police reported a reckless driving case near the Novitiate, where teens were allegedly intoxicated behind the wheel, and a parking complaint on Main Street in Gresham.
Despite the volume of calls, most cases were resolved without further incident, and no serious injuries were reported.
