SHAWANO, WI – The Shawano County Library System has officially welcomed Staci Rubenzer as its new director. Rubenzer, a Shawano High School graduate, stepped into the role this week following the July 3 resignation of former director Nancy Bell.
Rubenzer brings both local roots and a passion for community service to the position, and she’s already looking ahead with enthusiasm.
“Already, there are amazing things happening at our libraries, at our different branches in Birnamwood, Bonduel, Mattoon, Shawano, Tigerton, and Wittenberg,” Rubenzer said. “I am looking forward to supporting all of the staff that is currently doing that amazing work and to see where we can go from here.”
She noted her top priorities include supporting the library’s staff, enhancing community engagement, and building on the system’s existing strengths across its multiple locations.
With Rubenzer at the helm, the library system enters a new chapter focused on collaboration, growth, and continuing to serve Shawano County residents.
