Doris Ruth Kroenke, age 93, of Shawano passed away on Friday July 25, 2025, at home surrounded by her loving family. Doris was born on February 15, 1932, in Shawano to the late Ray and Marie (Baumann) Webster, Sr. On March 22, 1949, she was united in marriage to Leroy Kroenke in the Town of Richmond. The couple spent a wonderful 60 years of marriage together before Leroy’s passing. Doris was a strong-willed woman who lived for her farm and her family; she was an amazing mother and grandmother. She was an active and faithful member of St. Jakobi Lutheran Church, and she rarely missed the weekly Thursday bible study. She liked playing cards and enjoyed the occasional game of Rummy with family and friends. She enjoyed crocheting, was a talented painter, and loved birds and flowers. She will be deeply missed by those she leaves behind.
Doris is survived by her children, Barbara Perleberg, Brenda (Larry) Bohm, Marsha (Nick Krueger) Opperman, Mark (Kathy) Kroenke and Todd Kroenke; grandchildren, Brian (Kelly) Ness, Dean Ness, Mark (Shelly) Bohm, Melissa (Dan) Cruz, Andy (Melissa) Bohm, Justin (Nicki) Opperman, Casey (Keegan) Gast, Corissa (Wyatt) Rozmenoski, Kalen (Jake) Kroenke and Brittiany (Riley) Nietzer; 16 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren with one on the way; and sisters-in-law, Sue Webster and Phyllis Webster. She is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Doris is preceded in death by her husband, Leroy; nine siblings; and parents, Ray, Sr., and Marie.
A funeral service for Doris will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday July 30, 2025, at St. Jakobi Lutheran Church with Pastor Travis Kleinschmidt officiating. Visitation will be held at the church on Wednesday from 9:30 am until the time of the service. Burial will be in the church cemetery following the service.
Swedberg Funeral Home of Shawano is assisting her family with the arrangements.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to ThedaCare at Home Hospice, specifically Sabrina Miller for the wonderful care.
