SHAWANO, WI- Community members are invited to the 9th Annual “Cone with a Cop” event at the Shawano Dairy Queen on Tuesday, July 22, 2025, from 4 to 7 p.m. The event offers a chance to meet local law enforcement, firefighters, and EMTs while enjoying a free small ice cream cone.
“We get a great turnout, and it’s nice to have an ice cream cone with the kids,” said Shawano Police Chief Mike Musolff.
It’s a fun way to build relationships between first responders and residents through friendly conversation and a shared love of ice cream.
“This is our future coming to see this, and they’re the ones saying, ‘Hey, I want to do that when I get older.’ That’s what we’re hoping for too,” Musolff added.
Visitors can also register to win one of ten ice cream cakes, with the drawing taking place at 6 p.m. The Shawano DQ is located at 1005 E. Green Bay Street.
