The Shawano Police Department had a busy weekend, responding to a range of incidents, from threats involving firearms to public lewdness and reckless driving.
Around 11 a.m., officers responded to a serious threat on South Bartlett Street, where a man allegedly claimed to have a hidden gun and made violent threats toward a woman and her property. Multiple officers, including SWAT, were dispatched, and the incident remained active for over two hours. No injuries were reported.
Later in the day, a disturbing call came from Memorial Park. Witnesses reported a man engaging in lewd behavior at a public pavilion. Police identified the suspect as wearing a white shirt and grey shorts. Though not fully exposed, the behavior was described as clearly inappropriate. The individual was contacted and removed from the area.
Elsewhere in the city, police responded to two separate reckless driving incidents, including one on South River Street involving two cars reportedly chasing and trying to strike each other. Another case on South Union Street later that evening involved an anonymous caller reporting dangerous driving. Officers are continuing their investigation into both incidents.
Other calls included several welfare checks, threats, medical assists, and a vehicle crash involving a pontoon boat near Airport Drive. Thankfully, there were no serious injuries reported in that case.
Police also responded to a disorderly conduct call at ThedaCare Medical Center, where a man allegedly threatened nurses and refused to leave. Officers intervened without further escalation.

Clintonville Police remained active throughout the day, conducting numerous business checks along South Main and Paulina Street in the early morning hours—ensuring local establishments were secure.
Officers also made over a dozen traffic stops, primarily concentrated on South Main Street and Highway 45, targeting speeding and other violations.
Around 9:24 a.m., emergency services responded to a medical call on West Morning Glory Drive, and later in the evening, police assisted in a vehicle lockout on 7th Street.
Reports of suspicious activity came in just before midnight on Brent Street, followed by a disorderly conduct call on East 12th.
Police also responded to various calls including parking enforcement, an animal complaint, and provided extra patrols in residential areas like Memorial Circle and East 12th Street.
Shawano County Sheriff’s deputies stayed busy over the weekend, responding to a wide range of calls across the area.
Authorities handled over 40 incidents in just 24 hours—including multiple 911 calls, traffic crashes, and reports of suspicious activity.
Around 2:30 a.m., a disturbing call came in from the town of Morris, where a man was reportedly screaming and banging on a house. Deputies responded and cleared the scene, but the caller was not identified.
Later that morning, a vehicle crash at the intersection of County Roads D and J resulted in a citation. Officers also responded to a shoplifting report at Doc’s Harley-Davidson near Highway 29, where a man allegedly stole a belt.
One of the more serious incidents occurred around 11 a.m. in Shawano, where a man reportedly threatened a woman—claiming he had a gun hidden near a local dam. Deputies are continuing to investigate.
A disorderly conduct case also unfolded at a boat landing, where a Hortonville woman was accused of yelling at children who had wandered onto her property.
Meanwhile, deputies assisted with three medical calls, responded to a tree blocking traffic in Lessor, and fielded a report of an animal bite that led a Green Bay woman to the ER.
And late Sunday night, fireworks complaints rang in from residents just hoping to get some sleep before the workweek began.
