Shawano Police responded to a range of incidents across the city. Early Tuesday, officers were called to ThedaCare Medical Center for assistance with a patient on the second floor. No arrest was made, but law enforcement support was requested by security.
Around 3 a.m., officers responded to a disturbance involving a man claiming his ex-girlfriend refused to return his dog and personal items. That situation was also resolved without arrests.
Later that morning, police were called to the CoVantage Credit Union for a triggered alarm. It turned out to be a false alert with no entry found.
Other calls throughout the day included a welfare check on a young boy found sleeping in a parking lot with a dog, multiple reports of reckless driving, and the theft of a vehicle from Charlie’s County Market on South Main Street.
Officers also investigated a possible trespassing case on South Main Street, where it was reported that homeless individuals may have been sleeping in a trailer. No one was found inside.
At Memorial Park, a tense situation developed when a man allegedly pulled a knife on a family member. Officers deescalated the incident without injuries.
And finally, a suspicious incident overnight involved two girls reportedly seen crawling near a parked car on South Hamlin Street. The caller provided surveillance footage, and police are continuing to investigate.
Clintonville Officers responded to a variety of calls throughout the day, starting just after midnight with a report of a suspicious vehicle near North 12th Street and Sunset Drive. Several business checks were conducted in the early morning hours along South Main and 16th Street, keeping eyes on local properties.
Traffic enforcement was a top priority, with over a dozen stops recorded across the city—most notably along South Main, Highway 156, and Spring Street.
Emergency services were called to multiple medical incidents, including three ambulance responses on Industrial Avenue, East 12th Street, and North Park Street.
Other activity included a minor vehicle crash on Spring Street just before 10 a.m., a 911 hang-up on Staff Sergeant Warren Hansen Drive in the afternoon, and a noise complaint late Tuesday night on West Morning Glory Drive.
Clintonville Police also performed extra patrols in several neighborhoods, including Memorial Circle and South Clinton Avenue.
It was a busy day for local law enforcement, with over 40 incidents handled by the Shawano County Sheriff’s Office and the Stockbridge-Munsee Police Department.
Overnight, deputies responded to a disturbance just before 3 a.m. on County Road B. A man reported his ex-girlfriend refused to return his dog and other belongings. The matter was resolved without arrest.
Animal issues were frequent throughout the day. A caller near Cecil reported a deer injured in a ditch, while loose horses on Town Line Road were returned safely to their pasture. Another deer was reportedly struck on County Road E.
Reckless driving calls surged, with at least four reports between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m., including a Subaru swerving on Highway 117 and a vehicle crossing yellow lines near Pulaski. All cases were handled and closed by officers.
Emergency services also assisted with two fire-related calls. One near Bowler involved heavy black smoke—ultimately determined not to require fire department intervention.
The Stockbridge-Munsee Police handled a trespassing complaint where a Gresham homeowner found someone camping in a tent on her property. That person was asked to leave. Meanwhile, a suspected shoplifter was reported at a Main Street business in Gresham; that case remains active.
Finally, several 911 hang-ups and disabled vehicles were addressed throughout the county. No major injuries or accidents were reported.
