It was a busy Monday for Shawano Police, with nearly 30 calls logged across the city on June 30th. The day began with a death investigation just after 6 a.m. at a residence on East Center Street. Multiple officers and two ambulance units responded. The investigation remains active, with no further details released at this time.
Later in the morning, police were called to the Mountain Bay Trail after Shawano County Human Services reported a juvenile assault. A video reportedly shows a youth, attacking another teen under supervision.
Officers also responded to a disturbance on East Center Street, where two individuals allegedly entered a home after being told to leave. No weapons or intoxication were involved.
Animal welfare calls also spiked — with at least three reports of dogs left in hot vehicles, including one outside the Shawano Library and another at Walmart. In all cases, officers confirmed the dogs were safe, but authorities remind residents not to leave pets in unattended cars.
And finally, in Memorial Park, police broke up a case of lewd behavior reported near a dugout. No arrests were reported, but officers cleared the scene after addressing the situation.
In Clintonville it was a busy Monday across the city as law enforcement responded to a wide range of calls.
Officers assisted other agencies twice throughout the day—once near Anne Street just before 1 a.m., and again mid-morning at Waupaca Street and Highway 45.
Traffic enforcement was steady, with over a dozen stops reported across major intersections including South Main, Highway 22, and North 12th Street.
Emergency crews were dispatched to two medical calls—one around 2:30 a.m. on North Clinton Avenue, and another just after 5 p.m. on Ruth Street.
Police also handled a sex offense investigation near Anne Street shortly after 1:30 p.m., as well as an illegal burn reported on North 12th Street.
Additional reports included animal issues on South Main, suspicious activity on Lincoln Avenue, and a 911 misdial near East 12th Street.
Authorities continued routine patrols throughout the day, with extra attention given to Memorial Circle, East 12th, and South Park areas.
From the Shawano County Sheriff’s Office, Deputies responded to 43 calls throughout the county, ranging from routine vehicle lockouts to more serious reports.
Two cases of reckless driving were handled before noon—one involved a driver swerving along Highway 29 near Wittenberg, and another was spotted weaving on Witt-Birn Townline Road.
In Krakow a pair of loose horses made headlines. One caller reported the animals on Town Line Road, and another needed help corralling a horse while disabled.
Authorities also addressed multiple 911 hang-ups, including one in Shawano where a male admitted to leaving his phone on a vehicle bumper, accidentally dialing.
A case of criminal damage was reported in Tigerton, where a neighbor allegedly backed into a house and drove off, leaving behind a tail light and a broken window.
Deputies also responded to suspected elder abuse in Shawano. A caller claimed an elderly woman was being denied food and water by family members she lives with.
In Bonduel, animal cruelty was reported. Four neglected pit bulls were left in a feces-filled apartment. That case remains under investigation.
And near Pulaski, a trespasser caught on camera was reportedly dumping tires repeatedly over the weekend. After being confronted, the individual removed the tires—but now the property owner wants him banned.
On a more serious note, the Stockbridge-Munsee Police Department reported a death investigation and multiple welfare checks, including one involving a child custody concern.
