SHAWANO, WI- Authorities responded to a two-vehicle crash on Highway 29 near County Highway K in the Town of Waukechon around 9:56 p.m. Friday. According to the Shawano County Sheriff’s Office, a passenger car traveling eastbound rear-ended a pickup truck. The car, driven by a 21-year-old Green Bay man, came to rest in the median and later became fully engulfed in flames. He was uninjured and was wearing a seat belt. A 36-year-old Green Bay woman riding in the pickup sustained non-life-threatening injuries. All five occupants of the truck were wearing seat belts. Investigators say speed and alcohol were contributing factors in the crash.
