The Wisconsin Soccer Coaches Association (WSCA) released its Week 7 girls soccer state rankings, and a new team has claimed the top spot in Division 1.
Divine Savior Holy Angels (DSHA) vaulted into No. 1 after improving to 15-0-1 on the season, swapping places with last week’s leader Muskego, who dropped to No. 2 despite an unbeaten 13-0-2 record. Arrowhead (6-0-7) held firm at No. 3, while Oregon moved up a spot to fourth, and Brookfield East slipped one place to No. 5.
Germantown (11-2-0), Middleton (10-1-5), and Cedarburg (11-3-1) all held steady in the middle of the top 10. Madison West (9-2-2) and Verona (9-4-0) were new entries this week, rounding out the Division 1 rankings at No. 8 and No. 10, respectively.
In Division 2, Plymouth rose to No. 1 after a strong week, bumping Union Grove to second. Monona Grove stayed at third, while Brookfield Central and River Falls remained in the top five. Pewaukee, Pulaski, and La Crosse Central all made slight moves, with Onalaska and Nicolet rounding out the top 10.
Catholic Memorial (11-1-1) continued to dominate Division 3, maintaining its grip on the top ranking. Edgewood and undefeated Cedar Grove-Belgium (17-0-0) followed closely behind. McFarland jumped to fifth, while Winneconne and Notre Dame both dropped following recent losses.
Division 4 saw Xavier (12-2-1) and Howards Grove (14-1-0) maintain their positions at the top. Oostburg held third, while Washburn climbed into the top five. Aquinas made its debut at No. 5. University Lake/CA/SJNMA moved up to sixth, and River Valley slid from No. 4 to No. 10.
The WSCA rankings are compiled weekly by coaches across the state and reflect team performance, strength of schedule, and recent results.
