SHAWANO, WI- The Shawano Optimist Club is hosting its annual Bike Rodeo on Saturday, May 10, from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church, located on South Union Street. The event, designed for children in kindergarten through 8th grade, offers a chance for young cyclists to demonstrate their skills, win exciting prizes, and learn important bike safety tips.

The event also includes a prize giveaway, with free bikes awarded to lucky winners. Trophies will be presented to the top three finishers in each age group. To be eligible for prizes, participants must be present at the end of the event.
In addition to the bike course, there will be several other attractions to engage the community. Free bike helmets will be distributed to ensure the safety of all riders. Local police, fire, and ambulance crews will also be present with vehicle tours, giving kids the opportunity to explore and learn about the equipment used by these important community services.
The Shawano Optimist Bike Rodeo is free to attend, and organizers encourage families to come out for a morning of fun and community engagement. The event will take place rain or shine, so participants are advised to dress accordingly.
