It was a busy Wednesday for officers across Shawano, responding to a variety of incidents throughout the day and night.
The day began with a parking problem near E. Lieg Avenue and S. Lincoln Street. Officers spoke with a resident about moving a vehicle, and the situation was quickly resolved.
At Shawano High School, a student was reported for reckless driving through the parking lot. Officers have an active investigation underway.
Police were called to Shawano Community Middle School multiple times. One incident involved a welfare check, another involved a drug offense, and yet another called in crisis intervention services.
Later in the morning, a fire alarm went off at Evergreen Care Center. Although alarms were triggered twice, no smoke or flames were found.
In the afternoon, a domestic disturbance and a theft were reported, along with a strange call from a resident who found a suspicious baggie while cleaning out her mother’s home—potentially drug-related.
Evening incidents included a juvenile runaway, two disturbances, a report of a man allegedly offering alcohol to minors in Sturgeon Park, and an assault near E. Center Street.
Finally, late-night calls ranged from a loose husky on Stevens Street to after-hours park violations near the Ski Sharks site on Riverside Drive.
Clintonville officers stayed active with a strong presence overnight, conducting over ten business checks across Main Street, 9th Street, and Hemlock, helping ensure local properties stayed secure.
Traffic enforcement picked up throughout the day, with multiple stops made on Main Street, 12th Street, and near major intersections like Highway 45 and 76.
Around 1:10 p.m., a disabled vehicle was reported on Hemlock Street, and later that afternoon, police responded to a harassment complaint on Spring Street.
An animal issue was logged on South Main just after 8 p.m., followed by a juvenile-related call on Morning Glory Drive a short time later.”

“Deputies picked up two individuals on warrants, one at the Sheboygan County Jail in the early hours and another later in the morning from Brown County. Both cases remain active.
In Bowler, authorities assisted in a separate law enforcement matter on AH Toh Wuk Circle around 7:30 a.m., and courthouse security operations took place shortly after 9 a.m. in Shawano.
A strange report came in from Cecil—residents alerted authorities to a recurring issue of dead animals, particularly chickens, showing up in the road. One caller reported striking a chicken, which was later removed.
In Clintonville, concern grew for a woman who mentioned being in a domestic situation during a call with ThedaCare before the line disconnected. Deputies conducted a welfare check, but the situation remains under investigation.
Traffic safety was another concern. Two separate reckless driving incidents were reported—one involving a semi swerving dangerously on Highway 29, and another late Wednesday night on Highway 22.
And in Gresham, deputies responded to an open-door call at a commercial building. Officers cleared the scene with no further incident.”
