It was a busy Monday for local officers, starting with an early morning animal noise complaint. At 2 a.m., a resident on South Andrews Street reported a dog barking non-stop. Officers responded and handled the situation without further incident.
Later in the morning, officers recovered ammunition slated for destruction on South Sawyer Street and assisted Probation and Parole an arrest of a male individual who was reportedly under the influence during his check-in.
In a separate incident, police responded to vandalism at Memorial Park, where locks near the baseball diamond were smashed. An investigation is ongoing.
At 12:30 p.m., officers investigated a case of online fraud. A Shawano woman attempting to buy a parrot was scammed after sending payment via a Walmart MoneyCard.
The day continued with multiple welfare checks, including one triggered by a disturbing call from a solar company that received a plea for help from a distressed woman.
There were also calls for suspicious door-to-door activity, a hit-and-run involving a GMC Sierra, and an assault reported on East Division Street around 10 p.m.
And in the early hours of April 22nd, officers responded to threatening behavior at Sharona’s Bar. Multiple units were dispatched and remained on the scene until after 3 a.m.
Clintonville Police maintained a visible presence across the city on Monday, conducting several business checks and extra patrols throughout the early morning hours, including at locations on South Main Street, East Green Tree Road, and Industrial Avenue.
Officers responded to a variety of incidents as the day progressed. Several calls involved school-related concerns, including multiple truancy reports on West Green Tree Road and a school patrol detail in the morning. Disorderly conduct was reported on both West 13th Street and East Morning Glory Drive. A suspected drug-related incident was also logged on West Green Tree Road.
Animal-related calls were frequent, including reports of stray animals on Shaw Street and Pearl Street, and an animal bite on East Morning Glory Drive. Police also responded to two ambulance calls and a property damage incident at Memorial Circle.
In the evening, officers served warrants on Bennett Street and South Main Street and assisted another agency on Flora Way. The day included several traffic stops at key intersections, maintaining road safety.
No major injuries were reported, but investigations remain ongoing in several cases.

Later that morning, deputies were called to multiple fire alarms at a North Star facility in Gresham. Fortunately, no injuries were reported and the alarms were determined to be false.
Animal-related calls dominated the day, including a deer hit on County D and a report of loose pigs and a donkey near Bowler. Another call in Tigerton involved a possibly injured deer spotted near the road.
One particularly odd incident involved a cow reportedly standing in the middle of a road late Monday night—prompting a stray animal response.
A suspicious person was reported in Bowler after a homeowner said someone showed up claiming to take photos for an insurance company. Deputies also followed up on a distressing 911 call from someone in Clintonville pleading for help, though it had been misrouted to a solar company.
On the property crime front, Shawano deputies investigated the repeated vandalism of a mailbox and responded to a vehicle theft on Broder Road.
Meanwhile in Gresham, local officers assisted with a vehicle lockout and responded to a 911 open-line call, though no emergency was found.
Overall, both the Shawano County Sheriff’s Office and Stockbridge Munsee PD handled over 40 calls throughout the day, keeping first responders on their toes across the region.
