MENASHA, WI- Leah Nordin put on a scoring clinic Thursday night, pouring in 32 points to lead Shawano to a dominant 54-33 victory over Menasha. With the win, the Hawks secured second place in the Bay Conference, finishing league play with a 10-2 record.
Shawano set the tone early with suffocating defense and relentless pressure, holding Menasha to just 10 first-half points while building a commanding 32-10 lead at the break. Nordin was nearly unstoppable in the first half, tallying 22 points as the Hawks controlled the tempo on both ends of the floor.
In the second half, Shawano continued to impose its will, dominating the boards and maintaining its defensive intensity to cruise to the victory. Anna Dreier provided a strong secondary scoring effort with 10 points.
Menasha showed more fight after halftime, putting up 21 second-half points, but the deficit proved too large to overcome. Hannah Neubert led the Bluejays with 19 points, while Aria Bilke and Monica Robinson added six and five, respectively.
