SHAWANO, WI- The Shawano Country Chamber of Commerce, in collaboration with Shawano High School and the City of Shawano, is excited to present this year’s Homecoming parade, themed “Happily Ever Hawks.” Participants are encouraged to incorporate fairytale-inspired elements, with nods to witches and magical stories, into their parade floats and entries.
The parade will take place on Saturday, October 12, 2024, at 10 a.m. Lineup for participants will begin at 9:30 a.m. on Elizabeth Street, with the staging area accessible via Lincoln Street. The parade will start at the corner of Elizabeth and Main Street, proceed north on Main, turn right onto Green Bay Street, right on Sawyer Street, and finish at City Hall Parking Lot.
The event is free and open to the public. Entries for the parade are currently being accepted, and participants are encouraged to embrace the “Happily Ever Hawks” theme. Parade judges will award prizes for Best Business Entry, Best Club/Organization Entry, and Best School Entry.
