The High School Football season kicked off with a handful of games on Thursday.
Coleman 35, Peshtigo 0
Coleman dominated in their matchup against Peshtigo, piling up 262 rushing yards and securing a 35-0 victory. Micah Kuchta led the way for Coleman, completing 2-of-2 passes for 65 yards while also rushing for 67 yards and a touchdown. The rushing attack was bolstered by Kolton Peters and West Bieber, who combined for four touchdowns. Coleman’s defense held Peshtigo scoreless, sealing the shutout.
Rosholt 22, Manawa 12
Rosholt secured a solid win over Manawa, with a strong rushing performance leading the way. Caleb Zick ran for 136 yards and a touchdown, contributing to Rosholt’s 209 total rushing yards. On the defensive side, Rosholt intercepted two passes, with Caleb Zick playing a key role on both sides of the ball. Manawa’s offense struggled to find its rhythm, with Braison Zielke throwing for just 63 yards, one touchdown, and two interceptions. Despite a valiant effort, including an 80-yard kick return touchdown by Carter Barrington, Manawa fell short in the matchup.
