LITTLE FALLS 7, ELAND 5 (F/12)
In a dramatic 12-inning showdown, Little Falls emerged victorious over Eland with a 7-5 win. Chris Dunn pitched 11 solid innings for Little Falls, striking out 10 batters and walking three while allowing 10 hits and five runs. Kyle Finger closed the game with a scoreless 12th inning, securing the win.
Little Falls’ offense was powered by Cam Gruenwald, who went 3-for-6, and Carter Kurki, who contributed with a 2-for-5 performance. Kasey Morgan and Kal Fischer each added two hits, while Jenner Gullixon chipped in with one.
Eland put up a strong fight, with Dylan Trigg pitching six innings, allowing four hits and three runs. Tyler Nelson also threw six innings, striking out five but giving up four runs on seven hits. At the plate, Jacob Ligenza led Eland with a 3-for-7 performance, while Payton Flees went 3-for-5 with a double. Shane Larson added three hits, and Tyler Nelson managed a 2-for-6 outing, but it wasn’t enough to overcome Little Falls.
SCANDINAVIA 14, CLINTONVILLE 1
In a one-sided affair, Scandinavia dominated Clintonville with a decisive 14-1 victory. From the start, Scandinavia’s offense was relentless, putting up runs in nearly every inning and overwhelming Clintonville’s defense. Scandinavia’s hitters consistently found gaps and capitalized on every opportunity, making it a tough day for Clintonville’s pitching staff.
Landon Moe led the charge for Scandinavia, going 3-for-5 with multiple RBIs, while Marcus Glodowski added a 3-for-4 performance. Logan Moe also had a standout day, going 3-for-5 and driving in key runs. The team’s aggressive base running and timely hitting kept Clintonville on their heels throughout the game.
On the mound, Scandinavia’s pitching was equally dominant. Their starter kept Clintonville’s hitters in check, allowing minimal base runners and maintaining control of the game. Clintonville struggled to get anything going offensively, managing only a single run as Scandinavia’s defense remained solid.
