SHAWANO, WI- A Shawano police officer was honored on August 14 for his heroic actions at Milwaukee’s Summerfest two months earlier. Officer Mequon Frechette, who was off duty at the time, was attending a Tyler Childers concert with his family on June 26 when he noticed a man collapse a few rows ahead.
Without hesitation, Frechette rushed to help and quickly realized the man had no pulse. Shawano Police Chief Bradley Rabideau recounted how Frechette immediately began performing CPR, working tirelessly for several minutes until emergency medical personnel arrived and the man regained a pulse.
After ensuring the man was in good hands, Frechette humbly returned to his seat to enjoy the rest of the concert.
