SHAWANO, Wis. – The Shawano Municipal Airport will once again host the annual fireworks show organized by the Shawano Fireworks Committee on July 3rd. Due to recent rainfall that has saturated the ground, vehicles will not be allowed to park inside the airport fence. Attendees will need to park off airport property and walk in.
Despite the inconvenience, the airport will remain open and accessible to pedestrian foot traffic. Visitors are encouraged to bring their chairs and enter through gates located near the bowling alley or the main airport terminal building. Gates will open for public walk-in access starting at 7:00 PM.
Before the fireworks begin, there will be a professional aerobatic RC airplane demonstration flight by Dave Scott of 1st RC Flight School.
The fireworks show is scheduled to start at approximately 9:30 PM.
