
Barbara “Barb” J. Zehren, age 76 of Bear Creek passed away Saturday June 29, 2024 at her home following a courageous battle with cancer.
The former Barbara J. Tyler was born on April 12, 1948 in Shiocton to Gordon and Verona (Pantzlaff) Tyler. She graduated from Bear Creek High School in 1966. Barbara was united in marriage to Clarence “Babe” W. Zehren at City Hall in Galena, IL on June 1, 1966. The couple lived in the Clintonville and Bear Creek area until they moved to Appleton in 1974 where they lived and worked for 25 years. The couple moved back to Bear Creek in 1999 and Clarence preceded his wife in death on May 9, 2010. Prior to her retirement in 2011, Barb worked at Oneida Casino as a technician for 7 years. Most of her work experience was in the customer service field. Barb then cared for her sister Val who lived with her prior to taking a part-time job at Walmart following Val’s passing. In her spare time Barb enjoyed fishing, hunting, wood working, playing slots at the casino, shopping rummage sales and auctions, and collecting Fenton Art Glass. She also looked forward to spending time with her family. Barb had no children of her own but loved her nieces and nephews as if they were her own children, and would do anything for them. She also enjoyed spoiling her dogs Peanut, Kierra, Kallie, and Willow over the years.

Nieces & Nephews: Terry (Julie) Quaintance, Chris (Sara) Quaintance, Tina Durkey, Randy (Carren) Quaintance, Gordon (Val) Quaintance, Kathy Quaintance, & Carrie Tyler.
Great-Nephews: B.J. Quaintance, Dakota Quaintance, Josh Fry, Brayden Fry, along with numerous other great-nieces and great-nephews and other family members.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Clarence “Babe” Zehren, 4 nieces, 3 nephews, and siblings LeeRoy Tyler, Val Quaintance, Doris Owen, Mary Heaslip, and infants Judy, Marvin, & William Tyler.

Barb’s memorial service will be held Monday July 8, 2024 at 7pm at the Eberhardt-Stevenson Funeral Home & Crematory (SOUTH LOCATION) 299 S Main Street, Clintonville, WI 54929 with Rev. Richard Vanman officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday from 4pm until the time of service.
