BONDUEL, WI- The top-seeded Bears clinched a thrilling 1-0 victory over Wittenberg-Birnamwood, advancing to the sectional tournament in Crivitz.
In a tense seventh inning, Easton Reinke of Bonduel led off with a double. Following an intentional walk to Brodie Hartmann, Carson Stoss delivered a clutch single to right field, allowing Reinke to score the decisive run.
“We have been getting great pitching, “Coach Don Gruenwald said. “1-0 is still a W, it does not matter what it is.”

It was the second straight game that Stoss delivered the game winning hit.
“I was feeling something,” Stoss said. “Easton really set it up for me, but I just love the sport and I just want to keep playing.”
“I was just trying to get on no matter what,” Reinke said of his double. “It felt good scoring and moving on to live another day.”
Cade Johnson was dominant on the mound for Bonduel, pitching a complete game shutout. He gave up only three hits and two walks while striking out 11 batters. Chris Sippl was tagged with the loss for Wittenberg-Birnamwood, conceding one run on three hits and two walks, with six strikeouts.
