SHAWANO, WI- Authorities have arrested a suspect wanted for attempted homicide in Shawano following a high-speed chase in Dodge County.
On Friday night, Shawano Police responded to a domestic incident on East Richmond Street where one person was injured and transported to the hospital. The suspect had fled the scene before officers arrived, prompting the issuance of an arrest warrant. The suspect is a resident of De Pere.
By Saturday afternoon, Dodge County Sheriff’s deputies located the suspect driving on State Highway 16/26 in the Town of Clyman. When deputies attempted to stop him, the suspect sped away, reaching speeds of up to 125 miles per hour and nearly colliding with several vehicles before exiting the highway north of Watertown.
The suspect then briefly drove in the wrong direction before stopping and fleeing on foot. Deputies pursued and apprehended him, taking him into custody.
