CLINTONVILLE, WI-Â During its session on April 22, the Clintonville School Board greenlit various financial measures for the upcoming academic cycle. Among the approvals were support staff base pay and hourly rates, instructional staff salaries, and the daily substitute teacher pay rate.
The board approved recommendations from the school administration for support staff base pay and hourly rates. Most hourly staff will see a 25-cent per hour increase, integrated into the district’s budget projections.
For salaried staff, the administration proposed maintaining base pay levels while ensuring STEP adjustments for each staff member. The board unanimously supported this recommendation.
Superintendent Troy Kuhn informed the board that, after surveying neighboring districts, the current substitute teacher pay rates of $128 per day and $60 for half a day were comparable. Despite considerations, no pay increase for substitute teachers was included in the budget projections.
In a move aimed at budget optimization, the board approved discontinuing department heads and stipends for the 2024-25 school year and beyond, redirecting funds to other areas as needed.
