SHAWANO, WI- The Shawano Softball team fell to Conference leading New London 2-1. The Bulldogs took an early 1-0 lead in the first inning before Shawano tied the game. The matchup including plenty of hitting on both sides along with solid pitching from Kenna Mix, who earned the win, and Sophomore Kadence Meyers who took the loss.
On the other side of the Bay, Seymour fell to Menasha 12-2. Taylor Papendorf and Hannah Neubert drove in three runs apiece for the Bluejays in the six-inning win over the Thunder. Papendorf hit a two-run home run in the first inning, and Kelsie Mohr had a walk-off hit with bases loaded in the bottom of the sixth inning. Seymour got a double and an RBI from Addison Wery.
The New London win and Seymour loss leave the two teams tied for first place in the Bay.
