WAUPACA, WI- The annual Waupaca County Track Meet took place on Saturday
In the boys’ division, Iola-Scandinavia emerged victorious with a total of 153 points, closely followed by New London with 145.5 points. Charlie Vater of Iola-Scandinavia showcased exceptional athleticism, clinching victory in the 800-meter, 1,600-meter, and 3,200-meter runs. His teammate Jensen Rice also excelled, dominating the hurdles events.
Weyauwega-Fremont’s Broc Billington made his mark by winning the triple jump and discus events, adding valuable points to his team’s tally.
In the girls’ category, Manawa dominated the competition, securing first place with an impressive 200.5 points. Addie Hansen and Marilyn Klatt of Manawa displayed outstanding performances, clinching victories in various sprint and distance races. Additionally, Abby Elmhorst showcased her versatility by winning both hurdles events and the long jump. Olivia Santos contributed crucial points by winning the shot put and discus events.
Denmark Cold Vike Invitational
The Denmark Cold Vike Invitational witnessed intense competition among several schools. Pulaski emerged as the overall winner in the boys’ division, with Madden Skenandore leading the charge by sweeping the hurdles events.
In the girls’ division, Pulaski emerged victorious once again, with standout performances from Olivia Spangers and Emerson Fabry. Pulaski’s relay teams also delivered impressive performances, highlighting their strength in team events.
