Marvin J. Christopherson, age 96 of Clintonville passed away peacefully surrounded by family Tuesday morning, December 19, 2023 at Aster Assisted Living in Clintonville.
Marvin James Christopherson was born on October 27, 1927 in Lena as the son of the late August and Isabelle (Berg) Christopherson. He graduated from Lena High School in 1945 where he and his basketball teammates made it all the way to state finals. Marvin was united in marriage to Ramona Lehman on June 23, 1948 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Bear Creek. He began his working career as an Artificial Inseminator Technician for Badger Breeders and then became a Salesman for Domain Industries. However, most would remember Marvin for the feed mills he owned and operated in both Aniwa and Tigerton prior to his retirement in 1989. Marvin and Ramona then enjoyed spending the winter months in Florida and the summers at Post Lake. Marvin was an easy going guy who loved being in the outdoors hunting or fishing. He enjoyed a good game of sheephead or 65 and always seemed to find a way to win; even after his family made him switch chairs. Marvin was a lifetime member of the Loyal Order of Moose, and in his younger years enjoyed being a leader for Cub and Boy Scouts as well as coaching his son’s little league teams. Marvin was a devoted husband and an excellent father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.
