SHAWANO, WI- Charles Parham, 41, a former resident of Wausau, is facing indictment on drug-related charges spanning two Northeast Wisconsin tribal communities.
The charges against Parham include one count of distributing heroin and one count of possessing fentanyl with the intent to distribute. These offenses occurred in late September and mid-October 2023, respectively.
The first charge stems from Parham’s distribution of heroin to another individual within the Menominee Indian Reservation. The second count pertains to Parham’s possession with the intent to distribute at least 40 grams of a mixture containing fentanyl, which transpired at a tribal casino in western Shawano County.
If convicted, the distribution of heroin charge carries a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison, accompanied by a fine of up to $1 million. Meanwhile, the second count mandates a sentence of at least five years in prison, extendable up to 40 years, along with a fine of up to $5 million.
