
Denise M. Madosh, age 53 of Neopit, began her journey to the Spirit World unexpectedly early Monday morning, November 27, 2023, in Shawano, surrounded by family and friends. Denise was born September 27, 1970, in Shawano, a daughter of the late Dana Grignon, Sr. and Marilyn (Soman) Grignon. She attended St. Anthony Catholic School through sixth grade, then attended the Menominee Tribal Junior and Senior High Schools, graduating with the Class of 1988. She was the Veterans of Menominee Nation Princess in 1987. Denise attended UW-Stevens Point and
Ladysmith College, earning her Bachelor of Science degree in 2015 from the College of Menominee Nation. On June 24, 2005, she was united in marriage to Kerry Madosh, Sr. at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Neopit. Denise was employed at the Menominee Casino in various management positions for over twenty years. In 2017, Denise began working at the College of Menominee Nation as the record and billing coordinator. Denise is a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Neopit. Wows, dancing, bead work, and rooting for the Green Bay Packers.
Survivors include her husband, Kerry Madosh, Sr. of Keshena; her children, Kerry Madosh, Jr., Trevor Madosh, Gerome Madosh, and Delvin Madosh, all of Keshena; her stepdaughter, Nichole Madosh of Keshena; three grandchildren, Kyron Madosh, Trevon Madosh, and Teleyah Madosh; her brother, Dana Grignon, Jr. of Gresham; her sister, Darlene (Jim) Welk of Gresham; her sister-in-law, Sheila Madosh; four brothers-in-law, Clifford (Romelda) Madosh III, Shandy (Leslie) Madosh, Dion (Rhonda) Madosh, and Brandon (Stacey) Madosh; and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. She was preceded in death by two grandsons, Kerry Madosh III, and Damien Madosh.
A Funeral Mass for Denise will be celebrated on Friday, December 1, 2023, at 11:00 am at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Neopit. Fr. Hanz Christian will be the Celebrant. Burial will take place at St. Anthony’s Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will begin on Thursday, November 30, 2023, after 2:00 pm at the Menominee Tribal Community Center in Neopit and continue until the time of Mass on Friday.
