GILLETT, WI- A fatal accident is under investigation in Oconto County.
On the morning of Saturday, November 25, the Oconto County Sheriff’s Office received a report of an accident at approximately 3:15 a.m.
Upon reaching the scene, deputies discovered a heavily damaged pickup truck in the south ditch.
The incident involved a 22-year-old male from Gillett who was driving the pickup truck traveling east on STH 22. Subsequently, the truck veered into the ditch and overturned. The sole occupant, the driver, was ejected from the vehicle and succumbed to fatal injuries at the scene.
An active investigation is underway, led by the Oconto County Sheriff’s Office in collaboration with the Brown County Medical Examiner’s Office. At this time, no further details are available for release.
