SHAWANO, WI- The Shawano Common Council got conformation on Wednesday that an IHOP (International House of Pancakes) will be coming to Shawano, possibly by the end of the year.
The new restaurant will replace Perkins on East Green Bay Street.
Dave Moesch, Planning & Zoning Administrator of the City of Shawano says the talks have taken place and the plans for a remodel are underway.
“They like to use existing Applebees and Perkins to remodel into IHOP restaurants,” Moesch said.
It is not known when Perkins last day of operation will be. While new management and owners will be taking over, the council was told that they do plan to retain staff.
