CLINTONVILLE, WI- Clintonville’s community came together in a celebration as they unveiled their new elementary school, which was formerly the town’s middle school. This momentous occasion symbolizes the successful conclusion of a significant $37 million referendum that was approved in November 2020.
The new elementary school, which has been operational since the commencement of the 2023-24 school year, caters to students from 4K through fifth grade. School administrators proudly highlight that this state-of-the-art facility is exceptionally well-equipped to provide optimal support for students at every stage of their early academic development.
The newly-renovated elementary school boasts several impressive features, including a centrally-located lunchroom, two playgrounds (one for 4K and kindergarten, and another for the rest of the grades), a top-notch security system, a new gymnasium, a well-appointed library with modern furniture and technology, a sensory room to support students’ social and emotional growth, classrooms organized by grade levels in “communities,” and color-coded hallways to foster a greater sense of identity and community pride among students and faculty.
Importantly, the completion of this project represents the final phase of the broader referendum project, which began with the addition of a new middle school and an agricultural-science building at Clintonville High School in September 2022. This first phase also involved significant renovations to tech ed and welding spaces and the creation of an independent living classroom for students with special needs. In October 2021, the school’s recreation center received a new fitness and weight room, further enhancing the overall educational experience for the community.
