La Vera Mae Tischauser, age 74 of Shawano, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, October 10, 2023. La Vera was born April 21, 1949, in Shawano. She attended country schools and graduated from Shawano High School in 1968. Following school, she and her best friend, Bobbette Hull, opened Country Crafts, a crafts store. La Vera married Carl Tischauser and together they lived in Shawano. The couple later divorced. She enjoyed crafting, dancing, and being “the life of the party.” Above all, La Vera loved her children and grandchildren. She cherished any time spent with her grandchildren, family, and friends.
Survivors include her two children, Anthony “Tony” Tischauser of Athens, and Tammy (Richard) Edwards of Shawano; grandchildren, Jesse Mullins of Antigo, Eric (Sierra) Tischauser of Athens, Parker (special friend Allison) Tischauser of Athens, Samuel Edwards of Shawano, and Griffin Edwards of Shawano; sister, Mary Jane Kucksporf of Gresham; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive relatives and friends at Mickelson Funeral and Cremation Service on Saturday, October 14, 2023, from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm. In lieu of flowers and plants, memorials are preferred to SAM 25 in Shawano.
