PULASKI, WI-Pulaski Police Department is teaming up with local law enforcement agencies to ensure safer school zones. The Green Bay Police Department (GBPD) announced a coordinated speed watch effort running from September 25 to September 29, targeting drivers exceeding school zone speed limits.
Wisconsin’s standard school zone speed limit is 15 mph when children are present. Chief Chris Davis of GBPD emphasized the need for safety as schools reopen, stating, “We must slow down and prioritize pedestrians.”
Pulaski Police Department will actively participate, alongside other agencies including Green Bay Police, to enforce these speed limits.
Additionally, law enforcement reminds motorists to stop 20 feet behind a school bus with flashing red lights and resume driving only when the lights turn off.
This collaborative effort focuses on ensuring the safety of Pulaski’s students and pedestrians in school zones.
