Little Rapids Corp. and Egan Family Foundation Contribute $15,000 for Vital Tactical Gear
SHAWANO, WI – The Shawano Area Fire Department has received a substantial donation of $15,000 from Little Rapids Corp. and the Egan Family Foundation. These funds are set to play a pivotal role in the acquisition of essential tactical gear, aimed at bolstering the safety and preparedness of firefighters and emergency response personnel, particularly in the face of potentially dangerous active shooter situations.
The donation comes at a time when the fire department has recognized the urgent need to enhance their emergency response capabilities. To meet this demand, the department recently underwent intensive active shooter training, further highlighting their commitment to ensuring the safety of both their personnel and the community they serve.
The $15,000 donation from Little Rapids Corp. and the Egan Family Foundation will enable the Shawano Area Fire Department to acquire critical tactical gear, including protective equipment, communication tools, and specialized training, tailored to the demands of responding to active shooter situations.
