TOWN OF FREEDOM, WI-A pedestrian lost their life after being struck by a vehicle on Wednesday evening. The incident unfolded just moments before 8:30 p.m. on State Highway 55, near the intersection with Greiner Road.
The victim has been identified as a 52-year-old individual hailing from Oneida. Their identity has not been released at this time pending notification of their family.
The vehicle involved in the collision was driven by a 78-year-old resident of De Pere, who was traveling northbound on State Highway 55 when the collision occurred. Preliminary investigations indicate that the pedestrian was struck as they were attempting to cross the road.
