OCONTO, WI- A Oconto County woman who is accused of shooting at an officer with her own weapon was convicted in court on Friday.
31-year-old Alisha Kocken entered at no contest plea to the charges of first-degree intentional homicide, resisting and battery to an officer. She was also charged with disarming an officer after grabbing officer Nicole Blaskowski’s gun and shooting her back in August of 2021.
A trial will take place in September to determine her mental state at the time of the incident. A jury will decide if she will be facing a prison term or commitment to a mental health facility.
Kocken is facing up to 78 years in prison if the case stays in criminal court.
