Jamey A. Ratsch, age 51 of Black Creek, passed away peacefully on Saturday afternoon, November 12, 2022, at ThedaCare Medical Center-Appleton. Jamey was born May 23, 1971, in Plainwell, Michigan, a son of Ann (Jansen) Ratsch and the late Jerrold Ratsch. Jamey attended school in Appleton, graduating from Appleton East High School. Following high school, he attended Fox Valley Technical School, majoring in culinary arts and was employed as a sous chef at various restaurants throughout his career. Jamey loved to play guitar and cook. He was a devoted fan of the Green Bay Packers and the Wisconsin Badgers.
Survivors include his daughter, Ireland Ratsch of Seymour; his mother, Ann Ratsch of Shawano; his fiancé, Sarah Nino of Black Creek; his sister, Julie (Stan) Buisman of Wake Forest, NC; and
aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. Jamey was preceded in death by his father, Jerrold Ratsch, and one brother, Jeffrey Ratsch.
A private family service is tentatively scheduled for May, 2023. Further details will be posted as soon as they are available.
