OCONTO, WI- Governor Tony Evers has appointed Hannah Schuchart as Oconto County’s next District Attorney.

Schuchart graduated from Purdue University and the Michigan State University College of Law. She was offered a position with the State Public Defender’s Office, where she represented indigent clients in Oconto and Marinette counties. Since 2017, she has served as an Assistant District Attorney in Brown County.
“It is with great honor that I accept the appointment by Governor Evers to serve as District Attorney for Oconto County,” said Schuchart. “I have been fortunate to build and maintain strong relationships with all participants in the Oconto County criminal justice system and I am uniquely situated to understand both the strengths and struggles of the community. I am committed to furthering the safety and well-being of Oconto County citizens each day. I look forward to working alongside law enforcement, the incredible staff in the District Attorney’s Office, as well as the wider court system, to ensure that justice is served.”
