KESHENA, WI- The show will go on, that’s the message from Administration at Menominee Indian High School.
The district has been on extra patrol and evening restrictions have been put in place after surveillance cameras captured a person on camera who was carrying what is believed to be a possible firearm. Tuesday night.
Extra police presence was added Wednesday night and Superintendent Wendell Waukau said they did not have any activity report after school or through the night. “The police department also reported zero citations for curfew violations,” he said.
School was in session on Thursday and Homecoming activities took place as planned. “We will continue to have increased police presence in and around our schools and at all our school athletic events and KPS sports.
The CWC Cross Country Meet was rescheduled for Monday.
Students are still being asked to remain off school grounds after hours as the 9:00 p.m. juvenile curfew will still be enforced.
Friday activities will go as planned.
1. 1:00 parade
2. 2:00 pep rally
3. 3:30 football game
4. 5:30 bonfire and cookout
5. 8:00 dance
The dance will begin at 8:00pm, all students that are attending the dance need to check into the dance by 8:30pm. Bags, purses and pockets will be searched. Once students leave the dance they will not be allowed back in. Students who are not in good standing will not be allowed at the dance.
