KESHENA, WI- Increased security and enforced curfew was put in place Wednesday after a suspicious person was found outside Menominee Indian High School Tuesday night. School officials say it appeared the man had an assault rifle and a hand gun at the school.
The school surveillance footage did capture a man walking behind the High School just before 11:30 p.m. Tuesday.
Law enforcement met with the school administration and decided to keep students in school but shortened after school activities to get all students home before dark.
In addition students were asked not to come to the campus after. There was also increased law enforcement presence during the evening hours. A juvenile curfew was put in place for 9:00 p.m.
The tribal police say not to approach anyone that may be suspicious. Anyone with information about the individual should contact Tribal Police at (715) 799-3881.
