CAROLINE, WI- There could not be a more perfect weekend for the annual Caroline Colorama. Longtime participants like Wally Breitenfeldt said it was one of the best years ever. “They sold over 1000 campsites and we have probably over 2000 horses in the area and a lot of great people here,” he said. “It is a family event, great food, great music and it is just a super event.
This year was the 34th Annual Fall Trail Ride and is Wisconsin Largest Trail Ride. “It started with a little tent by the river and it has expanded to this,” Breitenfeldt said.
Saturday started with breakfast, a craft sale and vendors. It moved into the afternoon trial ride and finished with a dance. Sunday started with the Lion’s Pancake breakfast, followed by the trail ride and the parade. The Colorama wrapped up with the auction, with the profits going towards the Lions Camp in Rosholt.
“It is just a great event and it all goes back into the community.”
This years Parade Marshals were Jim and Diane Krueger. The two have been apart of every Colorama.
The weather led for a perfect opportunity to get a sneak peak of the color changes in the area.
“We have some colors starting here, and it is just an awesome site.”
