
Eugene Arthur Watters, 86, of Pulaski, passed away peacefully, Friday, September 23, 2022 at his home following a long battle with Parkinson’s. The son of Arthur and Mae (Pockat) Watters was born on August 24, 1936, in Marion.
Eugene grew up in Marion and graduated from Tigerton High School. On November 1, 1958, he married Annabelle Stadler. She preceded him in death on September 11, 1989. He met and later married Laurie Swanson on January 9, 1993. Eugene worked in the maintenance department at Packerland Packaging for over 45 years until his retirement in 2010.
In his younger years, Eugene played both baseball for Tilleda and softball for Jim’s Bar. He enjoyed his vegetable garden and watching the Brewers. An avid outdoorsman, he loved to hunt, fish, and spend time outdoors.
Survivors include his wife, Laurie; three children: Debbie (Mike) Bohm, Dennis (Madge) Watters, and Dean (Kristi) Watters; his six grandchildren: James (Melissa) Bohm, Brandon Bohm, Rachel (Brad) Girardi, Kristin Watters, Katie Watters (special friend, Taran), and Anna Watters; his three great-grandchildren: Octavia, Oliver, and Alex; a brother, Larry (Mary) Watters; a sister, Bonnie Haas; brothers-in-law: Curt (Pam) Swanson and Kevin (Barb) Swanson; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Annabelle; and his parents, Arthur and Mae.
Friends are invited to gather at Peace Lutheran Church, 1954 County Road U, Green Bay, on Friday, September 30, from 9 a.m. until 12 noon. A Funeral Service will be held at 12 noon with Pastor Stuart Dornfeld officiating. Burial will be in Elm Grove Cemetery, Laney.
