SHAWANO, WI- Chuck Dallas has resigned from the Shawano School Board. School Board President Mike Musolff confirmed the decision Monday evening. In his letter, Dallas indicated multiple reasons for leaving, including not wanting the district to go through a recall process and the costs that are associated with that.
The Shawano School District was set to finish verifying the signatures that were collected by Thursday. During the meeting on Monday, Superintendent Randi Anderson said if verified, the recall election would take place in October if there was a need for a primary, with the final election taking place in November. The board was also informed that it was determined that all poling sites in the district would need to be used in order to facilitate the number of voters that would be expected to turn out. The district was hoping that a single poling place could be used for the entire district to cut down the costs.
