SHAWANO, WI- The Shawano community and area law enforcement had a night out together on Tuesday. National Night Out once again took place at Memorial Park in Shawano.
The night included K9 and drone demonstrations, basketball with officers, music, free food and hand on opportunities to sit inside emergency vehicles try out equipment.
Those in attendance included the Shawano County Sheriff’s Department, Shawano Police, Bonduel Police, Menominee County Sheriff’s Department, Shawano Fire, Shawano Ambulance and the Department of Natural Resources.
The main event of the night was a chili cookoff. Nine different chilis were judged by members of law enforcement. The first place entry belonged to Jordan Johnson, second place to Tyler Miller and third place was Stephanie Bendtschneider.
